The Caudill Residence

To maximize the energy efficiency of their home, the Caudills decided to use Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs). These forms were then painted in the color of Virginia clay to create a natural look to the structure. The low pitch of the roof complements the gentle slopes of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. The roof also has large, four-foot overhangs on the south and southwest faces of the house and the entrance.
